Personalization and Beyond

REDEVTION's own Kevin Parker, was a presenter at the June 2021 Progress Sitefinity Master Class.  Kevin presented on the subject of personalization.  In his presentation, Kevin addressed the features of the Sitefinity platform that allow for in-depth personalization.  Kevin presented a real world challenge faced by a client that is a large utility company. One of the main challenges they faced was having different services that are offered in different areas of the country and how to personalize it so a website visitor didn’t have to go through the hoops of inputting their location or zip code.  The utility company wanted to be able to know a website visitors location without actually asking.  In addition, pages needed to be duplicated 15+ times, which was cumbersome and hard for the marketing team to maintain.
